Our History
Mrs. Gemma Hussey TD inaugurated the NPCpp on The 8th June 1985.
The NPCpp, the Minister said, would have the same rights to consultation as the Management and Teachers unions.
Since then, the NPCpp has become a limited company and is now named in the Education Act 1998.
The NPCpp is now the umbrella group for Parents’ Associations in the post-primary section of the Irish Education System.
The post-primary system contains a number of different types of school and the NPCpp is comprised of four Constituent Bodies.
