Parents and guardians should understand the safe use of social networking sites accessed by teenagers from home computers, personal devices, mobile phones gaming consoles and other devices connected to the internet.

The NPCpp advises parents and guardians to attend local or regional information evenings, or request that their Parent and/or Teacher Association arrange a talk on internet safety and the well being of young people.

Be Safe Online, the Government’s campaign to highlight ways to help you stay safe online, can provide some useful tips for parents and guardians on online bullying, sexting, online pornography, online gaming, and other issues.
